Good Week.

Well I can honestly say I have just had the best week since my VA started almost a year ago! Been on holiday in Scotland all week and had minimal soreness and the wanting to wee all the time was minimal too. But I'm back home now and suffering again!! So feel quite low again! sad

Hi Sus, Hope you enjoyed your week in Scotland. Yes it was a good holiday but I'm wondering if the symptoms have come back again tonight because I'm back to my stressful life! I wonder if stress affects the symptoms? That's all I can put it down to. Or, I wonder if the bad days are slowly getting further apart. Because thinking about it, a while ago, most days in the week would be bad days. But if they are getting less, maybe things are improving. One bad night out of a week is better than it used to be but I hope I haven't got the symptoms all day tomorrow as well. Time will tell..

For sure we worry about the discomfort all the time when it's there because we can't get away from it.

Hi Shirley. I wonder if tap water sometimes affects our symptoms. I am always better when I am away and I know in my case that stress is not a factor. The water in my area really dries the skin.

Can you list everything that was different on your vacation like foods, hours of sleep, etc? maybe you can narrow it down. What's the major cause of your stress...job? You might consider meditation. Not that I do it, but I read an awful lot that says it helps relieve stress. I'm retired for the most part; just work PT for a few hours a week so no stress. Another benefit of being old!
