The url has changed from patient.co.uk to patient.info, see
https://patient.info/blogs/pro/2015/06/what-s-in-a-web-address
I'll check with the higher ups re the old domain, it may be it is going but I don't know. Will post back when I find out.
Alan

And, not having checked the entries, they all seem to be this site, incredible

The way you look at most websites is they use a sub-domain for forums. So, the rest stayed the same and the forums would have been.
forums-patient-co-uk (the dashes represent dots, but if I typed that in it would go to moderation.
And why patient.info - I could understand patient-com which make it more global based, but info - I do not see the logic in that at all.
Mind you some people use xxx then wonder why they get p0rn visitors!!! LOL

It must be very difficult to find a new domain name and 'info' just doesn't cover everything, it's not just info is it. It's also friendship, motivation, support etc but definitely not rampant sex.

I have seen that many times pay a few bucks for a .com which is a dictionary word and sell for millions, the chances of selling that are low if you check the history since the domain was registered. Even when it was running, it had more error pages - basically, just a wasted domain name when they could of done well with it on here. People are always on the make with one word dictionary domain names ending in .com
I had to laugh what this site looked like when it was first set up in October 1999 (screenshot attached). I went back in time to the earliest recorded date. Certainly changed a lot since then.

Yes I know that's not what you laughed about Les You laughed because it didn't have a take the p*ss pokey out tongue emoticon that it still doesn't have. Sheesh yes.
Disclaimer, I'm only having fun and if anyone dies it's not my fault, anyway I've moved to Mexico.

I looked at that screenshot and laughed at this part "This site is designed to be viewed at a screen resolution of 800 x 600 in 64,000 colour"..
Long gone are those days! These days its 24" Monitors as standard and connected via HDMI with screen resolutions of 1920 x 1080, with 16 Million colours. A very big difference, most people would think, but it's on the change again to 4k Picture quality better than a standard Blu-ray player.
If you buy a 3D TV or 3D Blu-ray these days your just throwing money away again. 3D has been tried 3 times in the past, everytime it fails to take off. You can buy Blu-ray discs, but if you will notice 3D movies are gradually becoming less and less. 3DTV's have been dropping by £100's because they are pushing them on the consumer because of the fall in the market.
We have two 3D Bu-ray players - no 3D discs, and they are connected to standard HDMI TV's not 3D, because I seen the drop way before it was dropping off. I picked up two HDMI TV's a 37" and a 42" for under £400 for both, cheap yes - both I got from one of the Black Friday sales. These were all brand new and no delivery charges.
I like watching the David Attenborough BBC Video Collection in blu-ray, the quality of nature is just stunning in vivid colours.
@ Georgia - me as a Tech Mod, no that does not interest me. There are reasons, and Alan would enlighten you about being a moderator is not an easy job!! It is easy to become unliked by people on forums. I've been there before, you need a set of rules so all people stick to them.
Regards,
Les.

I've been having such problems with browsers. Is it something to do with that they're all competing too hard?

And I run many addons and extensions, basically to keep myself safe. And I check my 'hosts' file every week, just in case some pest has got through, but thats rare. It's the hosts file that can redirect your browser to different sites or even a site that looks like your bank, but in reality it isn't. Many people get caught on this, and its how the site gets all your login details, and will normally say Under Maintenance after you login, by which time, they have all your banking details.
Oh mrsmop how can you listen to Opera? I prefer PItbull.... LOL

I listen to Opera and use the Opera browser with its many add ons etc.. I sync all my links to my various other gadgets and what have you
I just don't like Firefox, have tried it now and then but don't like it. Used Thunderbird for a while but then changed to eMail Client, cheaper than Outlook. Still have Outlook 2007 but it's a bit primitive now

I wouldn't mind the school paying for it, but for £7.99 a month that covers 5 licences across PC,s and 5 across Tablets. So, I guess in that respect it is not too bad.
I really need to sync my Outlook calender to my Android phone, the amount of appointments I have a month is ridiculous.
