What does gp write in the medical notes after a patient comes with huge misdiagnosis from google? I am so embarrassed, because my google diagnosis was totally wrong.

Hi Michelle, you really can't count on web based doctor sites as they are making a diagnosis without an exam. Don't feel bad about it at least you did the right thing by seeing your doctor. If you are curious about what your doctor wrote in the notes you can get a copy of your medical records from their office. If they said something bad about it then that is unprofessional and I would file a complaint. I would bet though nothing bad was said in your records.

As someone already said you can ask for a copy. Also, even though your diagnosis was wrong, you did a good thing of listening to your body instead of ignoring it, and going to the doctor.

    Hi Michelle

Never use the internet to diagnose yourself. Its good if you know what the problem is so that you can research an ailment, but that is it.

I use to do the same with the NHS Direct Symptom Checker. If I got a pound for everytime the screen went red and told me to go too the nearest A & E, I would be quite wealthy.

    Best of luck.
