Got a haircut, anyone know what these red bumps are?

In these photos they appear as small red bumps, however 2 weeks ago when I last got a haircut there weren't as many and they were instead dry and flaky. When I saw these 2 weeks ago I saw a doctor and he prescribed Advantan cream for the dry areas of my scalp as well as other areas on my face and body that were dry. The cream worked on my face and body, but my scalp hasn't changed. Instead, they became red rather than dry. He also did an allergen test and said I have a reaction to dustmites, but I've since changed my bedding and pillows.

I have quite an itchy scalp and have flaky dandruff which I sometimes pick, but that's mainly at the top of my scalp, not the back. I've been using Nizoral shampoo 2% and Neutrogena T/Gel shampoo.

Any help is greatly appreciated !
