Hope the other hand feels better son, and wishing you continued healing.

Thanks for responding. I guess I was expecting instant relief, and it's good to know I might have had unrealistic expectations

I hope you have some healing in the two weeks so you can work.

I am under the same pressure.

I play guitar and have 2 gigs first week of September.

      May we both find relief!!

Corticosteroid injections for CTS usually take effect within 48 hours, with a few patients reporting a slower response up to about 6 weeks post injection, which is when we usually follow people up. About 10-20% of people do not respond at all.

      Thankyou for this info.

It is 4 days for me now, and there is still no change.

If anything, the tingling is stronger.

I play guitar and this changes the game for me.

Is surgery now my only option or can a 2nd shot be helpful?

I forgot to ask if it is possible the injection was not done properly. There were no guiding xrays or ultrasounds, etc.

Also, contrary to all I have read, wearing a splint seems to make it worse.

I suppose I could learn to live with tingling, but I make my living playing guitar. It's also a source of joy.

I waited a month to get injection, thinking it would resolve with rest, vitamin B6, and tumeric. I tried exercises, and it exacerbated the condition. You seem my best hope here for what to do bext

      Thank you

Come over to my own website and we can discuss it there. It's impossible for me to post links and things here without being moderated - I can't even post a link to my site but it's easy to find. The short answer is that there may be grounds for trying a second injection but it's really quite a complicated question.
