Hi I got keyhole surgery on my left shoulder 18 months ago and I still have very little strength in it. Has anyone ever heard of this? I done my physio he was happy with my progression, but 18 months later it still feels bad I get shooting pains through it sometimes I got the surgery over a constant dislocation to my left shoulder are these feelings normal after such a long period of time after this surgery? I'm worried to even go the gym most times because I dont want to dislocate it again thanks any feedback would be appreciated

Depends on what you had done.  Keyhole just means arthroscopic, which has shorter recovery times than open.  I had keyhole and my recovery took years, not back to 100% either.

Hi, I've had four surgeries in 18 months and the weakness is tough to overcome. I would get back to a good athletic pt and get on a gradual increase strengthening program. If you have any pain lifting 1-2 lb weights I would see your doctor.
