Gout and gall stones

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had my first extreme pain from gout 4 years ago.  Could hardly walk.  It continued for a year on and off.   Then I was diagnosed with gall stones and had my gall bladder removed.   Never a problem since then  Coincidence?

Since gall bladder removed, have you been on different diet, additional drugs?

Uric acid may contribute to gall stones (I think, I'd have to search to confirm but I think that's right), but that doesn't mean removing the gall bladder should fix gout!
