My Arthritis Specialist confirms I have osteoarthritis throughout my body and gout in my feet. I was not aware I had elevated Uric Acid in my system. I didn't know that Gout can manifests itself in other parts of the body except your feet. Its very hard to handle all these new things that are popping up about my health. Just under 70 yrs. young and fairly fit, I never thought I would be having all these issues. My dad had gout. But they didn't know what do you in 1977. Although he was a doctor, I guess he chose not to take any meds. Presently I am going through a series of injections at my pain clinic with an RFA this AM L-1-L-5. Last week it was the right hip. These injections have helped me immensely. One more injection to go and I am finished. I really put off these injections off for over 2 years. Should not have done that. More like every year.

Some people have elevated uric acid levels and don't have any symptoms (i.e. never get uric acid crystals in the joints that cause inflammation and pain). I'm not that fortunate. At 55 years of age, I've had gout for 20 years and it began in the feet. It can strike almost any joint in the body. For me, it has progressed over the years to include the ankles, fingers, thumbs, and once in the wrist. My dad had it in all of the above and bad in his elbows.
After reading some insight in another thread on this forum, I'm going to get some Bromelain from the health store today. Supposedly it is great for reducing inflammation and thus pain in the joints. Also, Curcurim, an active ingredient in Turmeric has been proven to reduce uric acid levels in the blood. I'm going to have a go with that as well.
Good luck, I know how miserable it can make you feel.

That's exactly the GDU of what I purchased last night. Today will be the first full day using it.
