I have recently registered for this through my GP, unfortunately I have forgotten my password, I am not getting anywhere getting help to reset it, why doesn't this site to date have a reset facility in place?

The Access site will be changing to have a password reset as well as easier login processes etc. In the meantime you will need to contact your surgery to get them to reset.

Both my wife's and my username and passwords used to work before the recent website changes but now we can not log in at all.
As you put a new system in place and broke the old one it must be your responsibility to fix it and not to make us to go to GP again!

There is more to it than that. The Access site simply connects to all of the surgerys' clinical systems where your details are stored. As there are a lot of of surgeries who are updating their clinical systems this may also cause these problems. You need to contact the surgery as they may not be aware there is a problem they need to know about. They also might need Emis support to advise on the surgery settings or to provide a fix depending on the exact problem.
Most of these issues can be sorted quickly once Emis support are made aware but the surgery has to report it via their normal support channels to ensure everything is logged and followed up correctly otherwise the problems may not be resolved resulting in other users having similar problems.
I hope this helps.

This issue is going on for more than couple of month. When I called them they said we can not do anything about it. And they are right as they did not change anything on their end it is the "new system" was implemented.

What they can and should do is report it to Emis support - if they cannot sort it themselves Emis will be able to advise or provide a fix. The practice should have a proper support channel in place where they can report faults such as these to Emis in the same way as if there was a problem with the clinical system in the surgery. Once the fault is logged by the practice it will be one fix otherwise there could be multiple reports from lots of patients all about the same practice/problem.

Just called them (Dr. Lister Ba and Partners surgery in Reading) and they said they do not know who is EMIS :-) but they will reset our passwords and send letter to me.
P.S. I do not blaim them as it is so unclear here what to do where to click. Finding this forum itself is not an easy task. The logon page itself is not user friendly and has not got any USERFULL support option neither has link to this forum or suggests calling GP so they can inform EMIS.
Thanks anyway, hopefully my reset password will work.
