Granny with PMR

I just wanted to let all my  PMR sufferers out there know that my daughter gave birth to a little girl st 8.29 U.K. Time and weighed 7lb 3oz. I feel truly blessed. I am now paying for the excitement as I went to the hospital at 4am and only took my car keys, no pred with me so have taken a slightly higher dose and am going to have a lie  on the bed.  Even  the excitement of a new baby doesn't make PMR symtoms go away oh well.

Thank you to you all, I feel lucky to know there are other PMR sufferers  out there that care.

Congrats! Enjoy the new baby! Remember, take care of yourself so you can take care of others. Family must be considerate of PMR limitations. My son, daughter in law and 3 yr. old g and son and 1 year old granddaughter are somewhat in denial since I don't look sick. I know when I overdo...run for 8-10 blocks with the 3 year old, I will pay the next day! It is a matter of choices. Have fun!

Congratulations! !!!!   The advice to pace yourself now is so important...I didn't and spent too much time with my daughter  waiting for the birth around the clock regardless of day or night thinking the prednisone would do its work!!,  it took me weeks to get over the exhaustion and pain!   But it was exhilarating and I was very very happy!  So... be prepared to  rest and pace or else you too will suffer!!!  But it was worth it razz

Congratulations Margaret on the birth of your new granddaughter!  There's nothing like a new grandchild!   Always remember to not overdo even when you are helping her with the baby!  An added note:  It would be wise to always carry a few extra preds. in our wallet for emergency situations.

    My very best wishes,  Elinor
