Granuloma Annular

Hi

20 years ago I had a weird skin rash on my hands that was diagnosed as Granuloma Annular and it was confirmed with Biopsy. The dermatologist injected cortisone but i found my hands were so painfully itchy the next few days after, I couldnt stand it and vowed never to have the cortisone injections again. A few years later, I discovered that putting Tea Tree Oil on the little papules as soon as they came up, twice a day, stopped them in their tracks and they completely went away, and never formed that horrid ring.

I've just noticed a few have popped up so went online to see if there's any new research or treatments on GA and see that theres no advances made in treating it in the past 20 years. So, if anyone lands here doing a search on GA, try the Tea Tree Oil. I hardly ever get them anymore and the papules are completely gone in 1-2 weeks. Good Luck!

    Hello

Can you tell me which brand of tea tree oil you used?

Sadly there is not enough research done on GA.

Most anyone who has been able to get rid of it has been so random on remedies.

    Thank you for your response.

I have had some very SERIOUS outbreaks over the last 5 years.. TEA TREE OIL is my go-to also! I have tried just about everything but that is Awesome.

I will share with you a STRANGE THING that works for me..my Dr is VERY supportive of anything we can do to control GA,

one night I was putting Penlac nail lacquer on my nails ( what looked like nail fungus was actually GA attacking them).. for no reason i put this on my hand GA outbreak and in 2 days the ring disappeared! NOW AS THE TINY red spot appears I apply the PENLAC immediately. i've had great results for 2 years now. GA is a terrible issue..mine is of the CRAZY itch form, thats where the TEA TREE OIL is really helpful as well!
