I would certainly contact my doctor and see what he says. It sounds reasonable to me.

    Wishing you well.

Hi there. That's exactly the same diagnosis and prescription I was given when I was first starting out a year ago. I was working part-time but finding it impossible as I was so exhausted and had a lot of muscle weakness. My GP gave me a sick note for a month. He's good.

I did have a few appointments right away only because my heart rate and blood pressure were really high, so I had a couple checks for that and I was also fitted twice with a 24-hour blood pressure monitor - but they were pretty clear that I should just go about my 'regular activity' with it, so I had to wear it to work.

After that though, not much was happening. I was referred to the endocrinology clinic, but it took a while (I want to say it was 6 weeks?) to even get the appointment there, and then it was just one visit. I was back to work by then, and off the betablockers.

I'd say it's worth asking - why not? - but with the climate in this country at the moment towards jobseekers, I wouldn't be surprised if they refused. I guess it depends if you have a kind and sensible doctor! Good luck!
