    Hi,

I had UroLift in December 2016. I had 5 clips put in. I was 52 years old when I had the UroLift surgery. My experience was not good. Prior to surgery I had a very active and healthy sex life. Post surgery I have struggled with ED, still cannot fully empty my bladder and will be going to Vanderbilt this April to see a specialist since my doctor, nor anyone in his practice can figure out why I now have ED nor why I still cannot empty my bladder. I have had a thorough investigation conducted by NeoTract (the company that makes the UroLift device). No One has an answer or a solution as to why this happened to me. The past 2 years have been a struggle with depression and anger and regret.

My advice is the same as the other responses, do your homework. Get more than one opinion. I truly wish I had done more research beforehand. I seem to be a rare anomaly among men who have had great success with UroLift surgery.

    I wish you the best.

If you have this post operation condition that cannot be corrected it would be advisable for you to consult a medical malpractice attorney.

      Hello Den

Sorry to hear of your situation.

I have had a similar experience.

I had the Urolyft on Dec 2017. Had 6 or 8 clips put in. 79 years old at that time.

Have active life and reasonable sex life for my age.

Post surgery I have O libido and much difficulty with dribbling as well and all the rest of the problems of BPH?

In other words, Uolyft did not work for me.

Am looking into Focused Laser ablation BPH. or REZUM

      regards,

      Hi,

I appreciate the kind words. I'm coping with the post surgery effects. It killed my sex drive as well. I was 52 at time of surgery. Will be 55 this May. My Urologist truly has washed his hands of the situation by referring me to a specialist in another city. I am also researching options locally and I'm hoping to find a local Urologist to get a second opinion. (Something I wish I had done before agreeing to the UroLift in the first place). Hindsight, as they say.

      Take Care,

      Den
