Groin hernia repair and ongoing pain help me

All ill sum it up into factual points

2016 inguinnal hernia found left side of groin

2017 open surgery repair for inguinnal hernia and femoral hernia.

Yep went in for one came out with 2

2017 spoke to surgeon of the numbness in my groin, surgeon dismissed my numbness and asked how was the hernia pain

2017 Return to work GP dismissed numbness and told me the nerves will grow back

2018 groin pain started to kick in and a limp start to present itself.

2018 went to companies gp he wanted me to do a ultrasound

2018 went to my family gp told him of symptoms diagnosed me with a compressed nerve

2018 depression

2018 Seen a hernia specialist, he had done pin tests and said you need mesh removal

2018 operation mesh removal inguinal plugs removed, and repaired with no mesh, femoral mesh removed found compressed bilateral femoral nerve no hernia found.

2019 surgeon review, still numbness on crest of where groin meets leg, new symptoms tingling and sharp pain symptoms to the left testicle. Weakness of footing similar to drop foot.

2019 knew gave away twice

2019 Scans done for spinal cord checking for compressed nerves being trapped.

2019 review with surgeon again scans cam back unremarkable

2019 2x cortisone injections by ultrasound first gave a relief till I got home, second one did nothing

2019 surgeon operation for abductor tenonomy , Surgeon advised missed diagnosed from first operation

2019 pain has not change sent to pain specialist

2019 illuguianoal nerve block done no relief

2019 been told nerves are degenerative, and to trial neurostimulator

2019 trial was successful

2020 permanent implant was put in

2020 anxiety had started, had 1 panic attack

2020 Permanent neurostimulator not doing what its meant to be doing

Along this time line medications used

Cymbolta, endone, diazapin, Lyrica, gabapentin. zoloft.

Current symptoms

left testicle pins and needles

left pain in crest of groin meets leg

Left thigh pins and needles, pain, heat, itchy, pins and needles to the back of leg, inner thigh as well.

back pain at a certain angle

Loss of erection

no feeling of orgasim eg squirting out

loss of bladder after urinating i think i am finished 3 shakes put it away and the leaks more then usual.

Current medications

900 mg gabapentin

100 mg of nortripyline

100 mg of Viagra when needed

1.2 CBD not long started bringing up points as needed (medical marijuana)

The pain is having a huge impact on my lifestyle and is creeping into my career. I am having low tolerance now.

If anyone has any ideas or has been through the same shed some light. My GP claims there is nothing more that can be done. Is this it, is my life done

    Hi mate , really sorry to hear about your pain. I had inguinal hernia repair just 10 days ago so at the very beginning of recovering. I've heard good things about cannabis oil and i hope it brings you some relief from your symptoms . Did you have the op done privately or on the NHS? the NHS waiting times are pretty long for hernias i found. Sounds like you had the pain starting quite a while after the op. Did it go from numbness straight to pain or was there a period in between where things were fine. Wishing you all the best.
