    Hi hun

    Have you tried icing?

I found the pain seems to move along in different places throughout this whole process. I'm 12 weeks post op and my bum cheek is causing issues with sitting and laying down this week. Apparently it's the sciatic nerve. Don't forget to rest you know the drill...i would also try a hot water bottle this is helping my cheek 😏 ifs very possible you've actually pulled a muscle, your body has been through a lot. It's taken a beating and your no where near fully recovered. Take care and update me x

Well since I last posted to you I went to physio, he said the pains we are suffering is tightness in the muscles where they haven't been used properly. He gave me some stretching exercises and this is actually helping. He said when you walk just lift your knee slight higher than you normal would to stretch a bit more and when sitting try some gentle leg lifts 5 seconds on then rest for 5... I do this in front of the TV and its feeling different already xx

Keep an eye on this pain of yours. Groin pain when you have anterior approach can be indicative of the cup rubbing on your psoas. You need a good surgeon with expertise in tedonapathy to identify what’s going on.

Check this site, there are many posts.

You should not have groin pain after hip surgery. If after 12 weeks you are still experiencing this then get a second opinion.

    Wishing you all the best.

Take care Madla. Ask the surgeon to check if the cup is protruding and rubbing on your psoas. If surgeon unable to give you an answer see another surgeon.

My advice is to avoid steroid injections if surgeon suggests this. It won’t help at all.

Keep us posted with how you are going.
