Hi jay84544, you can have a look at this leaflet about 'jock itch':

    https://patient.info/health/fungal-groin-infection-tinea-cruris

For the time being, it would be best if you would wear loose underwear and trousers.

If possible, the rash should be assessed by a dermatologist.

Assuming that it is a fungal infection you could apply an antifungal. Since it extends to the scrotum I would recommend an antifungal spray, lotion, or gel, as it is easier to apply.

To reduce itching and prevent further spread of the infection you might also use an antifungal powder (for example Daktarin in the UK). These are available in pressurised spray bottles and very easy to apply. A further benefit of the powder is that it reduces moisture and friction in the area.

It is also important to wash your underwear and towels on a hot setting and to add laundry disinfectant to the last rinse (instead of fabric softener). This is to prevent reinfection or further spread of the infection.

You should see a doctor. On this forum you do not get advice from medically trained professionals but rather from patients who might have had a similar problem.

What have you tried so far?

Candid cream and Flucanazole tablet for 14 days. The course would again be adjusted.

      Hi Jay,

Use cocunut oil in everyday morning and in night apply turmeric powder in paste format before sleep. do this for a week.

Avoid oily & fizzy foods for a month to allow your liver to clean up your blood.

      Hope this helps
