Ground moving Beneath my feet

I sometimes feel like the ground is moving when I’m walking or standing. I’ve had a ct scan which was clear. ENT said it’s nothing inner ear or vestibular. How does anxiety come in this form? It doesn’t make sense. Also am afraid it’s MS

anxiety can cause hundreds of different symptoms. The symptoms are usually felt in the nervous system such as tingling, dizziness, and yes the ground can feel like it’s moving. I have had that happen many times and it’s nothing serious it’s just what anxiety does. The main thing is to learn to reduce your anxiety so you don’t get these type of symptoms. any symptoms related to anxiety or not going to hurt you. But I know how weird and scary they can be.

many people think they have MS when they get the symptoms of anxiety, including myself when I was younger, again that’s because anxiety symptoms show themselves mainly in the nervous system.

the diagnostic test they do for MS is an MRI. But I would say first work on reducing your anxiety because that is most likely what’s going on. There is so many people on this site that I’ve had that same feeling of the floor moving and they have anxiety also. Do things for yourself that help you relax like taking a nice walk in nature, take a relaxing bath, listen to meditations for relaxation and breathing Found on YouTube. I hope you feel better soon.

I’m trying to get an MRI but my insurance keeps denying it. I think I’m going to just go to the ER tomorrow and demand an MRI. I can’t live in wonder anymore. I need to know if this is an illness or anxiety. It’s ruining my life

yep, as soon as the anxiety calms down, that symptom goes away. The mind is a powerful thing!

Yep - definitely can confirm this sensation. When anxiety is bad the head goes fuzzy, neck stiff, vision feels weird and when walking it feels like you are on a bouncy castle. When back to happy environment away from what was causing the issue and voila - the problem fades away.

thanks so much for that! the bouncy castle thing is a great analogy.

Yes - I too had a head scan (MRI) as I couldn't believe the problems were just mental. Do you know what your anxiety trigger is ? I am pretty sure mine is caused by people and groups of people especially. Maybe am just unlucky but find many people to be hard work, awkward and selfish - when having to make a phone all to someone new to request something i just think 'here we go - another headache' 9 times out of 10 this proves to be correct....

I don’t know my trigger. It randomly comes. I have anticipatory anxiety with health anxiety so every second of the day I’m watching for symptoms.
