GTN ointment worked and now fissure has come back

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience??

My doctor prescribed me GTN ointment recently which i used for a total of 8 weeks. 2 weeks in to using the ointment my fissure cleared up but i carried on using it. Its been 2 months since having no fissure and around 2 weeks since i stopped using the GTN. My fissure has now come back 😦

Has GTN worked for anyone and when they stopped using it their fissure came back?

    hi,

    yes i used the nitroglycerin cream which worked, now my fissure is back. My colorectal surgeon said to use it longer. this is now the third time I'm using it, twice now I've thought it was gone. I want to have another child and am scared to get the LIS done. I have been taking Miralax everyday for 2 years, and one not totally soft stool and its back. Has anyone had this surgery and had a pregnancy after?
