Guillain Barre syndrome long term pain

I had GBS 4 years ago. I was hospitalised for a month with the usual treatment. Over those 4 years I have had increasing levels of leftsided lower back pain when standing, walking or bending forward.

I've tried co-codamol and naproxen. Neither help and the pain is becoming increasingly restrictive on my life.

The physio thought it was possibly left over nerve damage from the GBS, my GP thinks its that I am over weight and another practitioner thinks I just have tight hamstrings.

I've been researching around it and while I know that GBS can leave behind alsorts of weirdness but I've not been able to find crippling back pain as a long term complication, especially as it's been getting worse over time and I don't like putting every medical issue I've had scince down to it, however my left side did take longer to recover and I did have noticeable levels of asymmetry down my spine for many months.

Is there anybody out there that has experienced similar? My GP grudgingly suggested Gabapentin which I'm happy to take if it is nerve related but it seems overkill otherwise.
