Guys does motorcycling lead to external hems ?

Posted , 2 users are following.

I underwent an operation a month back on prolapsed haemorrhoid and now it seems that I have developed another external thrombosed roid.

I'm so devastated since I went through a lot of pain and I thought after surgery I thought it was the last time roids would affect me.

I'm a college going student and I use a motorcycle to commute daily.

20 kms daily(10km up and down)

I encounter speed bumps and bad roads on the way and I'm wondering this puts additional pressure on my anus and causes these external roids.

I don't want to stop bike riding at such a young age but I really don't want roids.

Does anyone have any info on this please ?

It would help a lot !!

Thank you !

Do you think anything else could have caused it? Have you kept up a good intake of water every day? Have you been straining at all? What about your diet? anything that doesn't pass htrough you easily? I would try to eat very healthy, avoiding meat and dairy as much as possible. Maybe try to take a stool softener or two a day and maybe try Psyllium - I take Psyllium every night - one teaspoon in a small bottle of water - shake it up and drink it fast before it thickens, wash down with some more water - it's a natural laxative and makes having a BM much easier. Try to make sure you are doing all these things and theymay have to become a regular habit but if they do then your life could become easier.

Yes yes I've been drinking a lot of water since my treatment.

I haven't completely cut down non veg but I have certainly reduced my non veg intake.

I might have strained 2-3 times after operation but that's about it.

I've been drinking milk almost everyday but I thought that was good for Bowel Movements.

I don't know why I keep getting these external roids.

It's my 3rd already this year.

I got the first one drained.

      2nd one surgically removed

3rd one I'm currently trying to shrink.

Isn't there any permanent cure for this ?

I had an op earlier this year. and am not worse off than before. You are so young I would hope that you will be able to eliminate them. After my op I ended up in hospital and bed ridden for 8 weeks so did a lot of research online of foods that pass through us easily and things that are not so good. That's where I saw the milk thing - and not everything will be good for everyone. Not sure where you are - Can you see if you can get Psyllium/Metamucil/ - there are other names depening on your country. I take it every evening, and it certainly helps with BM's. If I take it in the evening it makes me go first thing in the morning and then I've got that out of the way for the day! Obviously I can only give my personal advice but I feel that you are so young that you should be able to heal without another op. Can you easily get supositries? And or hydrocortisone cream/ointment? They can be a bit greasy with the ointment but I wondering if you use both of those for a while plus psyllium it will just give you the extra time to take the swelling down.

Yes I know what you are talking about.

Over here in India it's called cremadiet

It helps in making the stools very soft and clears my digestive system.

I too hope that I can eliminate them for good.

I'm just 20 and I'm worried that as I get older thing's will just keep getting worse for me.

      Appreciate your advice

      Means a lot !

I'm a lot older than you and I had these come and go through my whole life - but sometimes they were gone for years and then something would set it off again. I travel a lot and used to have a bad habit of not eating regulary through a day because of work and travel - I think if I had paid as much attention to eating and keeping up on my water habit I would never have had to have the op. So i think you will get through this. It's worth trying everything before you have another op. And you want to get a decent balance with the stool softener and/or Psyllium. You don't want to have diarrhea as that is worse for you. A formed stool is good just not so hard you have to strain - maybe water alone can work but for me it's stool softeners and Psyllium that make sit easy for me.I hope things improve.

So whenever you've been getting these roids....as you've mentioned your whole life, did you have to visit the doctor each time and get it removed or you just followed up with a healthy diet and with home remedies you shrunk them ??

I just hope we both are haemorrhoid free asap coz it's an embarrassing condition and sometimes a painful one.

Mostly I used suppositries - which are over the counter - I prefer Anusol which I think work better. But then Preperation H are also helpful. I didn't go to the doctor - just improved my diet and water intake - it seems if you have a 'flare-up' it can take a few weeks to get settled again and then you can be good for years. Mainly I think I would set it off again by having to strain by not eating properly for a few days or forgetting to drink plenty of water. So now after my op which was really a disaster I am intent on keeping up with water, regualreating. I only had a small lump befor eI went ina nd coz my op went wrong I now have 2 or 3 larger ones - more like flaps of skin that aren't painful but are not goign to go away - I've been told I could have another op and that's not going to happen - I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone.

Seems like you have developed skin tags which are annoying af but aren't harmful.

Hope your problem gets sorted man.

Operation pain is terrible, which is why I'm so disturbed given the fact that I just went through it a month ago !

Hope things get better for the both of us.
