After double dosing for 8 months after my gf left me I managed to successfully come down from 15mg to 7.5mg for three nights in a row!!

So happy!!

Hopefully I can stabalize on 7.5mg (my maintainace dose)

Would love to get down to 3.75mg but think I'm happy to stay on 7.5mg...

Been on 7.5mg for ten years before jumping up to 15mg.

Hope everyone is well

    Hi Daniel

well done. Are you planning on coming off altogether? If not, is your doc happy to prescribe? I have now been off zopiclone for nearly 6 weeks I think or is it 7. Anyway I am sleeping and take mirtazapine which is an anti depressant but helps me sleep. Good luck x

I remember speaking to you, what was your dose before? And how long for?

I'm looking to stay on 7.5mg for life, and my GP is happy to do so, I have various mental health issues so I take a lot of stuff anyway and my quality of life is better with it

Is that prescribed dose, 7.5mg a night.

thats what I am on, and have been for a long time now.

most gp's very reluctant to give them out now as you are probably aware, they are a class c drug.  I am on a maintenance dose and try not to take any extra as only get 28 a month.  If I take another half I find I still wake at the same time each morning, so it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference taking more than 7.5mg. Usually manage to get of to sleep ok.

      hi Gillian.

i was on mirtazapine once.  I found they gave me side effects such as restless legs.  Do you get any.

Yeah 7.5mg is the dose they want me on, but I was taking 15mg, and going back every two weeks and they were giving it to me no problem but we set a reduction plan, which I'm about 2 weeks ahead of having reduced down smile I've been on them 10 years

Told by 2 specialists that docs did not know how addictive this is, and they fear it can spark dementia for elderly and even cancer.  Get off it entirely if you can.

Thats wonderful news, I think after so long on Zop thats a great thing, keep it up, I know since my DR gives me the pills now I am happier and I cut down too 3.75 and now too half that even and sometimes nothing at all, I do try to be in a good place and read, play a card game on my tablet or something and off I go, but so much better on the 1.87 mg, to be honest and my DR is happy , I dont see why I cant take that untill I am ready to go it alone, I dont want to give it up for another med for sure, again well done
