Guys need urgent advice!

I posted a few days ago I’m currently on holiday in Berlin and I’m in the midst of a terrible flare! Having diarrhoea 10-12 times a day, barely eating anything, pain, feeling faint. Just feeling horrific. Is there anything I can do? Diarrhoea tablets not really helping!

Hi Penelope, it sounds like you need to see a doctor and get some medication. I don't know if you are taking any medication already. If you can get to a doctor you could be feeling better very soon and enjoy the rest of your holiday.

I'm currently in a flare and have had to put my steroids (Prednisolone) up to 25mg so far, here's hoping they kick in soon, like before xmas day! I know a lot of people don't want to take medication but it is sometimes necessary.

I'm sorry you're having to go through all this especially when you're on holiday! And I'm sorry I can't give any other advice that would help.

    Best of luck

    Hi Penelope

I agree with Pat it sounds like you need some medical help from a doctor. Such a terrible thing to happen when your away from home.

Try eating only very bland foods no dairy grains etc, broths are very soothing to an inflamed gut.

Good luck I hope you find some help and relief.

Sorry to hear that you're not being able to enjoy your holiday. Wonder if you can get hold of some Immodium Instants from a chemist over there? They dissolve on your tongue and usually work quickly. Try to eat something! Bland food like mashed potatoes, applesauce or bananas and toast has helped me before. You will feel bad if you don't get any nourishment! Alternatively bite the bullet and try to find a doctor. You may be able to get a shot of something to help? I do hope you get sorted and go on to enjoy the rest of your holiday and, of course, Christmas!
