H pylori came back positive

Hi all, I have been ill for 4 weeks with diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, losing a lot of weight and no appetite whatsoever. Had some tests done and it came back that I was positive for H pylori - doctor prescribed me antibiotics - amoxicillin and clarithromycin, I am the type of person who likes to be aware of side effects before taking medication and I have an anxiety & panic disorder as well as depression which I am on an AD for, however, after reading about the horror stories of clarithromycin I am absolutely TERRIFIED to take it, I am supposed to start my first treatment today and haven't because of all the ugly stories I've read online, it seems like most people ended up going to hospital because of this drug causing them horrific side effects?

Did anyone have to take this stuff and is there an alternative better medication compared to clarithromycin?

    I think you are suffering the symptoms of anxiety. This is what needs to be addressed. You could also try another medication. Speak to your doctor about options.
