Unfortunately very ill.Prior to finding out I hap Pylori,I lost over a stone in three weeks. After eradication still zero appetite.I bought digestive enzymes, took for about two weeks, appetite slowly returned.Slowly started to put weight back on,not back to my normal weight but am comfortable as I am.I have lost all my body fat very skinny looking, and feel like my bones are going to snap.I returned to the specialist on xmas eve, only to be very quickly written off.I asked about malabsorption as I have almost no hair, nails just break. He said definitely not as you have regained weight. No energy at all,now require full time help .My legs feel like led,all I want to do is sleep. He said my thyroid falls within normal levels,,but I believe and asked for a full blood panel on my thyroid.Never got it.My stomach still bloats after eating. My doctor said he is limited to what he can do.So he has ordered a blood test for thyroid once again not sure if it is just the normal or a full one.it includes testing for anemia,b12,full blood count, bone profile, serum folate, glucose fasting, glycated haemoglobin, liver function, magnesium, urea & electrolytes, vitamin d.I am praying with all my heart something might show.I am now 30 days into shingles, racked in pain.Unless the doctors find out what is wrong with me,I do not think my body will hold out.Obviously to myself some nutrients/vitamins are not getting through or my hair would not be gone.Right now I am housebound and have been for months.I have gone from reasonably active person to being crippled. So H Pylori has obviously done something to my body.I hope no one ever has to go through this ever. Most people do get rid of pylori and everything gets back to normal I am pleased to say.But some just end up so much worse of.If I have to go private for complete vitamin mineral blood test I wil.Somehow will find the money.NHS are not interested,I have ruled out pancreas, gall bladder due to the fact I have no pain..Maybe pylori triggered a autoimmune disorder. So thats where I am today.I hope you are well

tasha 156 i have just found out i have hpylori.  Pain in side has been here for 24 months hair loss for 20 months.  how is your hair loss now? it is my worse symptom.  Hair from everywhere is gone, i am desperate to find out if it improves once it is removed from your system.  There is no doubt in my mind my hair loss is this.  At he time when it started i said to the dr would the strange feeling in my side be connected as it happened at the same time. they discounted it and said it was probably just hunger or indigestion. Never had it in my life indigestion.

i havent started treatment yet, i expect to next week. Currently taking mastic gum aloe vera and mastic gum

Hello tasha, wanted to ask how you are? Hope you feel better xx

Thank you for asking, very kind of you.Wish I could say all was normal, sadly it is notCan count the hairs left on my head now,a year ago I had long thick hair.My weight did creep up again but not back to my usual weight, due to that alone Endrocologist dismissed malabsorption. That was December 2014.Since then have struggled on with fatigue hair loss, weak nails, enlarged node in neck, deafness in one ear, blocked nose so now have to mouth breathe, that seems to have induced shortness of breath,my appetite has never really gone back to normal, but contented I had a appetite of sorts.Three weeks ago once again it has completely goneTo top it all I have lost a serious amount of subcutaneous fat, veins are prominent, muscles are wasting, very skinny.I believe that I am suffering from partial malabsorption of proteins and fats.I came to that conclusion due to the fact bowel movements are very oily.Sorry for that but maybe it might help anyone in the future facing the same problems.Time for me to go back to my doctor and push for tests.I have to admit to being somewhat scared now. What the specialist did not think about at the time as he should know malabsorption is not purely based on weight.BMI. It is also based on fat! Looking at myself and how ill I feel now,I just feel something will happen to me if someone does not do tests.Time for me to demand now.Nearly three years of this.Sadly I am not a complainer but my life is at risk now,if I do not get nutrients in my body.I must be getting some or I would be in hospital no doubt.Partial malabsorption I would say.I got a MRI done on my brain, results were never found! Had a recent blood test that indicated low vitamin D.That made me more sure that other vitamins are not getting absoebed. One day I hope to come here and post something good.Till then thank you all for your kindeness x

Today I feel I am walking with death.Gastroentologist wrote me of Christmas eve 2014 even though I insisted that I was very ill.I said so why is my stomach bloated, why is my hair faling out,why are my teeth becoming loose and breaking,Why have I little appetite? His reply to all was millions get all those.Went to my GP,told him I felt ill,he replied we have done all the tests, nothing wrong with you.Had  a CT scan which missed my gallbladder is full of stones,a ultra sound found them.I insisted on seeing another gastroentologist back in june 2015,three times my doctor made a request for a appointment, all ignored till now.I asked for a second opinion, and not to see the previous specialist. That delayed my appointment for another six weeks.New appointment May 11th.So eleven mnths wait to see a specialist.Today my hair is almost zero.I can count my rib bones, muscles have gone, all over terrible tremors.feeding my body with vitamins, just trying to keep myself alive.I feel like my body has been feeding of my fat and there is lttle left. never felt one bit better after treatment for h pylori. Medical profession could not care less. am malabsorbn g I am convnced of that, did pylori damage my stomach? Dd it cause a food intolerence? is it the gallstones?  also developed greasy bowl movements in the last year.My balance has gone, deafness in both ears, blocked sinuses since day one,Skin n asal passages, ears as dry as the sahara.

Hi Tasha.  I have the exact same issues as you are right now minus the hair issue.  But for sure all the same as far as weight loss, no energy, etc, etc.  Did you find out what was going on? please let me know if you know something

It appears to me the mediIcal profession believe it is all my mind.Regardless of how skinny I am. have a fine layer of hair left, near deaf in both ears, blocked nose  no sense of taste smell.Stomach that is permanently distended even worse after eating, nals break of,teeth fall out, balance problems, walk like I am drunk, feel so weak, dizzy, poor appetite. Because my BMI keeps falling within the normal range, even though my weight has gone down another 6lb recently still within range. All ignored. But am ing through blood tests, stool tests, and another endoscopy.Went for that last week sat for two hours to be told not enough machines, wating new appointment. Also a letter cancelling my appt with gastro specialist from aug to september.I think the only thing that will prove it is not in my mind is if my body gives up trying to survive.I truly believe that I will die if someone does not sit up and take notice. It is a sickening feeling I feel like my body is sucking in to my bones. It may not be my stomach,I do have lots of stones in gallbladder, that is ignored as I have no pain.Maybe it is my thyroid,or adrenal glands, pituitry glands, diabetis, could be anything. Will not do a full thyroid test on nhs.Lving nightmare
