Had a bartholin gland removed 4 days ago. In so much pain

On June 8th I had my left bartholin gland removed and was not expecting the pain I'm experiencing. This was 4 days ago. The stinging feeling has subsided but the throbbing pain is still there. I currently take ibruprofen and paracetamol as advised by my doctor they work ok but not for very long. How long does it take for the pain to subside enough that were able to sit down to drive somewhere or sleep any side you want? Also it bleeds when I try to go the toilet which is hard to do. Is that connected to the surgery? And as embarrassing as it is to ask did anyone get a boil type spot thing near the anal area too? I didn't have it before surgery. Apologies for the long post but I don't know anyone who has gone through this 😦
