Had a cystoscopy 3 months ago constant perineum pain

God morning,

Joined here out of frustration because I feel I don’t have anywhere else to turn. I recently had a cystoscopy done as i have been dealing with penile pain.

Got a cystoscopy done and after pleading with the doctor to be careful I felt like he just rushed in and out. Now I have extreme perineum pain. Its like stabbing feeling later on in the day when I sit down a lot. During the morning it is a tingly feel. And after I poop it feels agravted as well.

I called up the doctor and asked that maybe I have an infection and to put me on antibiotics, he told me to get a urine sample done at the hospital. So I did AND THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK.

This guy after the procedure told me to go to pelvic floor therapy but to be honest this guy introduced more problems than he resolved.

Any suggestions?

Not sure Karl how to help with this problem but I'm sure that as you've been dealing with 'supposed to be' professional people they should have been more attentive. I can only hope that you come out of this bad situation and get back to normality. I had this cystoscopy and it's hard to believe but I contacted the virus infection during the procedure. I am taking advice from a solicitor to see if he could find out what had gone wrong. I hope you will mend soon.

Keep calling the doctor to get the results of your urine analysis and culure. And ask for the report for your records. If it's negative, and you still have pain, drop off another sample and ask to have it repeated. I had a cystoscopy last year, and yes, it seems like they are having a contest with themselves on how fast they can perform the procedure. I'm sure it's not that complicated but you would think they would look around for more than 60 seconds.

Karl, I would suggest a second opinion.  I had a doctor perform a ridge scope on me in the office with no numbing gel or pain management of any kind, and when I requested my medical records so that I could get a second opinion they were so wrong and said nothing that I had to have the test repeated, this time I was out for it.  I did find out that my urethra was damaged from the first scope and also what was causing the reason for my visit to begin with.  I am letting the medical board deal with the first doctor for know but luckily the second doctor was able to determine what the problem was and I was able to get some treatment.  I would request your complete medical records including all photos and videos in writing from the first doctor and then find a second doctor.  No one deserves to be treated that way.

To elaborate. The area hurts more the next day. especially if I ejaculate the day or night before.

Debbie, I will ask for my medical records, however during the flex cystoscopy, there were no images obtained. I swear when he I jexted me with fluid that’s what caused the pain and it hasn’t stopped. The only thing I could think of is maybe he upset the area around the prostate or the prostate is enlarged. But I can barley sit down without sitting on pillows.
