Had a steroid injection in the knee, can i still exercise?

Have been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis at 37 and have had a steroid injection to ease the pain, however I have a physical job and enjoy tae kwon do, running and playing football with my children. Will I do more damage if I carry on if the pain is not there to stop me?

Hi Duane I wouldn't risk it I have just had a TKR in June and I had suffered with the pain of bone on bone in my knees it does get worse I had to retire from my nursing job as I couldn't do the job any more as the pain was so bad.

but have a word with your GP and see what she or he has to say.

    good luck.

Hi Carol, thanks for your reply, I think I maybe just struggerling to except the fact of what's going on with my knees and the fact that I can't do the things I used to anymore. I know it will only get worse so I suppose i'm just trying to do as much as I can, while I can! This will probably accelerate the condition so I know I must be sensible. Thanks again, Duane.
