morning  john  thank  u so much for  answering  me.   just  nice  to talk to someone  who  understands.  i  am  okay  now.   im  seeing  my  GP   this  afternoon  at   4.30   so  i  will  be  able  to find  out  from him  things  i  need  to know.   i  suppose  he  will give  me  some  meds  of  some  sort.  now  at our  surgery  we  do have  1  nurse  who  deals  with  copd  she  did  the  breathing  test  thing  on  me  last  week.  i  shall make  an  appointment   to  talk  to  her.    i  am  not  anti  smoking   at  all  my  best  mate  smokes    we  all  have  a choice.   i just  feel  guilty  for  smoking.   is  it  the luck of  the  draw,  some  people  smoke  all their  lives   really heavy  and  are  fine.   yet  i didnt  smoke  all that  long  and  ive  got  this.    oh i dont  know  john  i  just  finding  excuses.   i  suppose  if  you  smoke  you  take  a  chance  of  getting  something  like  this.    its  like  folks  who work  in  a  bad  invironment  they  get  these sort  of   diseases.    you said  about   emphysema   my  mam  had  that   she  had  smoked  all her  life  she  was  born in 1921  and  eveybody  smoked  in them  days.     john  do  you  get  very  breathless  and  do  you  get  chest pain  with  it.    thank  you for  listening   take  care  love  julie   xxxxxxxxxx

Hi no symptoms at all just yet no SOB no chest pain nothing. Only thing i have is feel like i have not been to sleep and exhausted all day but i think it's from this acid reflux.

My last COPD test was last week and the nurse could not believe how much my lung function had improved, i have also got my cholesterol back to normal and no longer pre diabetic all from eating the right stuff and exercise, and i also stopped smoking 3 months ago. They did want me to take statins but i hate taking tablets.

hi  again  you  are  doing  well,  do  you take  anything  for  acid  reflux,  i   do,  your doc  will prescribe  you something  although youve  said  you dont  like  taking  tablets.   im  also  on  atorvastatin  for  cholesterol.   best  to  take  tablets  if  they make  you  feel  better.    its like  a blooming  sweet  shop  at  our  kitchen  table  in  a  morning.   lol   xx

I take 2 tables for my acid but they don't stop it, it only affects my throat mostly, and the hospital say i don't need surgery for it.

I got offered statins but read to much bad things about them so fixed it myself. I am stuborn and like to sort my own problems out if i can.

What part of UK are you from ?

hiya  i  admire  you  that   your  sorting  your  self  out.   im  on  statins  cos  i had   a  heart  attack  in 2015   so  im  on lots  of  meds.     thats  strange  what  you  say  about  the  acid  only  affecting  your  throat.   its  not  a nice  feeling,  i  would keep on  at  the doctor  about  it.     i  was  on lanzoprazole  but  my  doc  took  me off  it  a couple  of  weeks  ago  and  put  me on  pantoprazole.   i think  he maybe  thought  id  been on lanzoprazole  a  long  time  i  dont  know  really.   i  will let  you know  how  i  get on today  with my doc  .  take   it  easy    xxx

hiya john  nice to hear  from you,   im  get  a bit  muddled  with  these different  messeges.    i  thought  id  been in touch with you   but  obviously  i  havent  sorry  about  that.    right  to  date   ive  seen  my GP  and  im on the Incruse  Eliptta once  a  day     the  blue  salbutamol   2  puffs  4  times   a  day.   when i  try  to anything   i  still  get  that  im gasping.    still  getting plenty of  chest pain now  i dont know if this  is  my  Angina   or  chest  pain from my lungs..   i  see  the  copd nurse on 26th  so  will have a  few questions  for  her.   now  ive looked  at  the  website   for  emphysema  and  i now understand  the  gold  staging  system.   looking  at  it  im  at  B  has  my  air flow  measured   75%.  i  shall of course  discuss  this  with the nurse  and  see  if  she  agrees  with me.  i  was  also  feeling  very poorly  tired  and  my  colour  didnt  look  good.  anyway  the  doc  said  all   my  blood  levels  were  on the low side,  although  good for  me.    hes  now  put me on  1 iron  tablet  twice  a  day.   i  can  honestly  say  i  do  feel  better  in  my  self.   now  thats  enough  of  me  john.    how   are  you.   have  you  seen  any  doctors   etc.   look forward  to hearing  from you    take   care   julie

hiya  john  i  got  my husband  to print it  all off  for  me.   and  you  will be  at  group A  (gold 1 or 2)  .  im  the next  one  Group  B.   im pleased  that  you have  no  symptons.    i  started  feeling  really bad  about  17th february,  and  just  got  worse,  of  course  all the medical  people  thought  it  was  my heart  and  maybe  the stent  was blocked,  but  it  wasnt   having  been in hospital.   thats when  they  said  could  it  be  your lungs.    then  that opened  the  can of  worms.   im now  used to the idea ,  its more  of  a worry  when you dont know  why  your  feeling poorly,  i  now  know  what  im  to deal  with.    i just  do  a  little  bit  get  breathless  so  i sit down.  my  attitude  now  is  not  what  i havent  done  in  a  day,    its  what  i have  done  ,   ive  also  started to take more of an  interest  in  listenting  to my  cds  even  bought  a  new player  for  a better  sound.     take  care    julie

Update on getting up for a wee, went to doctors again Friday third time and this time did some checks one a scan of bladder and the other the finger to check prostate, i was told it's very enlarged and now got to have blood test Monday to see it's cancer and back to docotr Tuesday for results sad

What annoys me is the test took minutes so why not do this when i fist went instead of leaving things.

Plus my wife has something on her lungs and can hardly breath and also got to have more tests.
