I'm not sure what happened tonight. I was sitting on my couch and all of a sudden o had this odd feeling come over me while I wax looking at my phone and I looked up and the room started to move to the left and I felt like I was falling and dropped the phone and grabbed the couch. It lasted a few seconds but scared me to death. I went in and layed down freaking out and tried to relax. Afterwards I feel like I'm swing slightly back and forth, I have upper shoukder pain and neck pain and a headache.

My son in law was here and said this is part of your MAV it was an vertigo episode. He said its part of MAV he said it happens. He's in the medical field and read up on it and said o have all the symptoms of MAV. He said the propranolol should help but I need to get to the theraputic dosage and that takes time. I'm so glad he was here and was able to read about MAV and understand it better than I do and said you def have MAV.

All I can think is this is going to happen all the time. Do any of you have episodes of spinning feeling vertigo with MAV?

The short sons almost scaree more. Not sure if that's it for a warning shot. Had it do that to me. Then got a bad episode a day or week later. Weather changes and alergies can set them off.

Patty, you have mentioned neck/shoulder pain so many times when you have the dizzy spells.  Read up on Cervicogenic Dizziness.  This could be a part of your problem.  Not saying that you do or don't have MAV, but this could be contributing to the dizziness.  You've mentioned having anxiety, and I know all too well if I get stressed out, my neck tightens up, and my shoulders seem to move up to my earlobes if I don't consciously pull them down and straighten up.  Hope that helps at all.
