Had biopsy today

Hi well I had biopsy this morning and I'm very sore and swollen. It hurt a lot when the local injections went in but that was it.  I'm a bit worried as I'm still very swollen on one side with just a little blood when I wipe myself after using the loo.   I expect a bit of blood but this swelling feels horribly painful.  Now I have to wait for a couple of weeks for the results to see what is wrong with me as I've been told so many different things by different doctors.

Can anyone who's had the biopsy tell me how long they suffered afterwards.

Thanks.

I had a biopsy, but the sample was taken from within my uterus. I was not given any pain killer at all. They did it vaginally. How was yours done? It sounds like a whole different procedure.

I did have spotting and cramps afterward; however, very mild.

I had a vulva biopsy. I remember it was very sore and uncomfortable and it kept weeping. No blood or swelling. The gyne didn't do stitches, just cauterised it with some chemical and left the hole open, so it wept clear liquid for a few days. I can't remember how long it took to heal, couple of weeks I think.
