Hi, I had Glandular Fever when 19, And came down with ME 7 years ago managed to get it under control but due to various things lost control last year and am now quite ill with it. I also have Prinzmetal angina - macro and micro varients and have intermittant arrhythmia. I contribute and read mainly on the heart forums here but thought I would like any feedback that can be given to anyone on the ME side... Also realising i should be on here too and thoughts and ideas would be very helpful. Also just being retired early due to ill health.

Hi Andrew, I am very sorry that your varous problems brought you here. Of course that is true for all of us on this forum. My basic problem was a poluted environment. I moved house and carfully investigated all food to discover any that upset me. It was a slow process but it worked,

Wishing you successing in again beating ME.

    Hi Andrew,

I am really sorry to hear about your health issues.  M.E is a terrible illness anyway but to have other issues on top.  My CFS/ME I am sure was brought on by getting very stressed and trying to achieve the unachievable to which I have now paid the price.  My thoughts would be go with what your body is telling you and rest, rest, when you have to.

    Take good care

    Tina

Thank you Tina, i understand what you mean by the cause of stress here, i have been through it twice  and yes some things cant be done even if they should be possible with the right people trying...  I think the ME came back and the heart was casued by trying too hard to do the right things. Thank you for your thoughts.

I think you're right that we can get stressed by trying to do the right things. Everything becomes a worry, have I done this, have I done that and the sheer amount of energy things take. Sometimes I get so fed up of taking supplements I don't bother for several days.

I think we have to strike a balance between doing what's good for us and relaxation, and not thinking about being ill. I hope you get better!

Hi  Andrew sorry to hear your unwell.

I think ME either masks or adds to medical conditions.

You can’t exercise because of ME/cfs and if you don’t exercise you put your heart at risk?

The heart after all is a big muscle and is effected by fatigue like any other muscle in the body I guess.

I too suffer with heart issues and ME its not easy is it.

Staying positive and plenty of goals and lists...

    all the very best.
