Had my ultrasound

Hi everyone

I had my diagnostic ultrasound yesterday and asked the sonographer if she could see anything on the scan. She said that I have lots of small stones. It sounds weird but I was so relieved because since the original attack of pain and the referral for a scan, I have been imagining all sorts of outcomes (I am a total hypochondriac!). So I now have to see my GP in about a week for the official results and to see what will happen next. The sonographer mentioned that I would probably have blood tests and maybe other tests.

Has anyone any idea of these tests and what will happen next in general.

Many thanks

Best wishes

    Hi Maz

I was also very relived that my ultra scan showed gall stones, was sent to see surgeon about my options, when I saw him and he asked where my pain was.I said on my right side just below my ribs and in my back by shoulder blades.I felt sick didn't want to eat much and the pain was worse when I bent over to pick things up.he said that he thouht that my pain was not due to my gall stones but was comming from my back,so now I 'm wait for a MRI scan which I have booked for  a week on friday then wait a week and then back to gp to see what mri shows,if it dosn't  shw my back at i'm going to ask for a second opinion on my gall blabber although the sergeon said lots of people live with gall stones and never have any pain from them.I feel I'm just waiting for one of the stones to move and then I will be in the same position again as I was back in Febuary in total agony.

hope you have more luck with your gp then i did

    keep in touch
