Had Protected Intercourse One night stand with a girl 8 days ago should I be concerned about herpes?

Hey everyone!!

I'm just a parinord guy and wanted to get some answers...normally I wouldn't do something like this but I got drunk and said what the hell...I had a one night stand with a condom and no kissing...this was 8 days ago could I still have a chance of herpes??

Currently I have no signs of any symptoms not sure how long it takes for something to show up...like I said just parinord...how long should I wait until I can feel like I am in the clear?

      I talked to her a few days after and she assured me she didn't have any sTD's/herpes and was last tested for everything about a month before we had sex.

    That's how I got herpes with using a condom still go get checked, the person I had sex with didn't tell me till after the fact. And now I have it...

      How soon after your encounter did you show signs/symptoms?

      She told me about two weeks later, so I went to get me a blood test and I tested positive for it give me a number 3.5...three days later I went to a doctor and they gave me a prescription for mess that's start with a v...I'm new to this it hasn't even been a solid month

      Did you have any symptoms after having sex with her before you got tested? She assured me she didn't have anything and was tested for all std/herpes about a month before we had sex

      If you scored 3.5 by IgG after only 2 weeks from exposure, then in all probability you already had it before her. That is a high score for such short infection time. The vast majority of newly infected folk would still test negative at 2 weeks.

      I ask that question with my doctor as well, I had been checked up before I was with her I had nothing..he said different bodis react different..

    Why would you be freaking out about herpes is she doesn't have it and you don't have symptoms for anything? Just go and get an sti test done at your doctors to put your mind at ease

      Like I said I'm just a parinord person...I got a Sti 2 days after and everything was clean but not sure if that was too soon.

      I'm going to get another test at 21 days...would I have show signs/symptoms by now on the 8th day?

    Risk is minimal. Symptoms typically occur within a week for most people, up to 20 days max. I wouldn't worry about testing, but If you insist, then do it at 3 months post exposure. Must be IgG, not IgM.

    i seriously doubt you have anything to worry about .. and you used a condom so thats even more safer.

      I don't think I do but I'm a super parinord person when it comes to things like this...with it now being 9 days since my encounter would I be displaying symptoms by now?
