    Stephanie,

You need to call your Dr. Sounds like you have an infection. Do not wait and see. Could be a reaction to sutures or an acquired infection but since it's a surgical site you need a professional to examine it.

It could b infected. If it leaking fluids & has a fowl oder try to get a GP appointment right away like within a couple days. Personally i would just go to the local ER. Just in case the blood work comes back in hrs and not weeks they can give u a antibiotic shot or IV and send you on your way wirh a prescription for antibiotics. You should b fine and then follow up with your surgeon or GP. Smells and fluids leaking are not to be messed with in the healing process.

I had the same thing.Im 4 weeks post Op now and had my left Ovary removed.I had an inch long incision in my belly button and two on my left side.I have a very deep Inny Navel and it started getting itchy and oozy last week.I didn't get it checked out because I had this before after Gallbladder surgery. You need to keep it clean and dry and put sudo cream on. Belly buttons are an awkward area, clothes rubbing and they can get sweaty etc.I also found that using that Vagisil powder was a life saver as it's so absorbant.

If you feel it's of an infection obviously get it checked out.Mine has cleared beautifully now due to doing the above things.Hope yours improves soon smile
