Had virus at beginning of year with dizziness, loss of balance, dreadful `cold' symptoms. Prescribed sea sickness pills and eye exercises!!! Ended up with glue ear in left ear but hearing made much worse as I already have hearing loss in that ear. Still have glue ear 8 months on. No other treatments offered.Has anyone used `earpopper'?

    What's ear popper?

I've trouble on and off my whole life with glue ear and always resort to syringing by my practise nurse as a last resort. I've been using eardrops now for 2 months with no effect so I'm going for a syringing tomorrow. Nobody mentions syringing on this site why not, I know my doctor recommends only using as a last resort but it's always suggested.:roll:

Its a device that was invented by a doctor in order to replace the need for tubes to be inserted into the ears to prevent ear infections.

Yes I have used the ear popper to great effect! Only had it a short while and it worked like a charm. Had been deaf in one ear for over 3 months and wanted to try it before resorting to grommets again. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Google it - you can buy it on the internet at Dr-Buylines or Williams Medical, but they are now the same company. (One is cheaper than the other.)

Not supposed to be used if there is an infection or cold.
