Haemochromatosis does effect the hypothalamus, which affects the pituitary gland, which affects your hormones. Haemochromatosis is a hormone thief. However, tests show that your hormone levels are good.

Read up what the hypothalamus is responsible for and see if there is anything that relates to how you feel.

Taking supplements with iron in it is not good for HH but hopefully it is only for a short while. Discuss with your fertility specialist to see if, in view of your HH, if you really need iron supplements. Your pregnancy and baby will use up your iron during gestation.

Always ask for copies of your blood test results so that you can see for yourself where your levels are.

    Good luck with this.

If you are eating a correct diet no supplements should be required this is the problem with a lot of modern medicine it always wants people taking pills when not necessary. 9 months wait is very poor and it shouldn't be based off blood test but gene testing as well.

It sounds like your doctor is doing a very poor job.
