Haematuria 3+ on dipstick, no infection ....going out of my mind with worry

Hi there, I've been feeling dizzy, tired and generally unwell for a few weeks. I've got ringing in my ears and by the end of the day my lower back aches. I've had bloods done which showed low ferritin and my doc requested urinalysis to be sent to the lab. The first one showed 23 pus cells and 24 blood cells and a repeat sample the next day showed 2 pus cells but 45 blood cells. I've been dipping my ueine myself for the last two days and each time there's 3+ for erythrocytes (blood). The doctor where I work as basically told me the dizziness might be linked and said I need referral.

I'm past myself. I don't know what to do. Alls I can do is look at my baby and cry thinking that I'm not gonna see him grow up. I work in health so I know that haematuria is bad. Can't get referred unil next week sad

Anyone had haematuria of this scale and not had cancer. I can't think straight here.

Hello Nicola I don't understand the numbers and the pus cells you say about but I've known loads of people with blood in there urine and it's not been any thing to worry about a family member was passing just blood and it was nothing serious , when I was at hospital have my tests I spoke to a lot of people there because of blood in there urine and they was all ok it seemed to be quiet common try not to worry too much I would like to know how you get on good luck I'm sure all will be ok .x

Thank you for your reply you have reassured me. The numbers of pus cells and blood cells are what we're written on my urine test results from the lab. Basically over 3 red cells found in a urine sample needs investigating apparently.x

hi, Reading your symptoms sounds like what l experience regular, mine is due to intersticial cystitus, but can be simular for bacterial cystitus or other conditions, if youve a shortage of iron, re aneamia that would make you dizzy, maybe caused through loss of small amount of blood regularly, but sounds like the pus levels are going down, thats a good thing.  Whilst blood in urine does need investigating it can be caused by infection and non serious problems, if youve any discomfort passing urine that could indicate infection, try not to worry too much, good luck
