I had the same diagnosis. However liver enzymes have gone back to normal after 2 months of phlebotomy. Not sure about fatty liver but with the enzymes down they don't seem worried.

    Hi sue

Sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis for fatty liver?.

If I were in your situation I would ring the hospital daily to see if they

have any cancellations regarding your hemochromatosis,(this has worked

    For me previously)

    It may well be connected.

Good luck keep us updated on your progress.

Your rate of worry should depend on what your Iron Studies blood results are and what HFE genes were found.  As you have not included this information, it is impossible to say if you should be overly concerned.

You can work on reducing your fatty liver by eliminating sugars and starches from your diet too.

i am not a doctor but i agree with sheryl. your main concern should be your ferritin levels. a fatty liver is a concern but many people have that condition.
