Haemorrhoid bleeding, had for 8 months now.

I have been suffering from Haemorrhoid issues for the last 8 months. It all started with an itchy small lump/scab on the edge of my anus. After going back and forth from the doctors with them giving me creams and suppositories they finally agreed to do a colonoscopy and a Proctoscopy with a colorectal surgeon. The results found that i had some very small piles but nothing serious. Now at 8 months, today i bled quite badly, never had a bleed like it in the 8 months i have been suffering. It is now very sore. Rang 111 NHS advise line who reassured me that it was just caused by my bowl movement stretching my pile and would probs get more blood from a nose bleed. I am very sore at the moment and wondering if anyone else has had issues for this length of time and for it to bleed suddenly? Also is there any way to help with the healing?

Thanks.

Hi I have had hemorrhoid for nearly 30 years on and off . In the last year they have been really bad with bleeding which didn't happen before . So as you can imagine alarm bell start ringing . Doctors sent me to see a specialist and I'm booked to have them removed at the end of January. Hopefully all will go well. Keep going to your doctor if the bleeding continues . I have tried everything to heal mine but they always flare back up so need it doing really. Ice is always good to help when you feel uncomfortable and a warm bath x

What you describe is not unusual at all. Initial symptoms can often be addressed with home remedies. Sometimes these work for months/years, sometimes they don't. Diet is important, as is meticulous hygiene. Good luck

story of my life for the last 8 years.

bleed a shot glass of blood every time i use the loo. this amount triples if i have alcohol or walk far so i avoid that now. and take iron supplements for the aneima that follows.

no creams work however germaloids has a numbing agent which helps with pain. warm bath after every bowel movement helps, and a squatty potty to raise your legs when using the loo helps.

i did have the awful surgery to remove them. hemmeraged a week afer surgey and lost a lot of blood and the pain was so bad for 2 months. eventually healed me for 1 year but then they came back anyways and i wouldnt ever do that surgery again.

Hi Jace. If it is haemorrhoids then a change of diet, exercise, applying apple cider vinegar/ drinking with water, sitting in water with Epsom salts/ACV can help with haemorrhoids. Aloe vera/manuka honey being applied can help healing. Daft as it sounds if anybody has haemorrhoids first try this. Chop half a garlic put this into a bucket, add boiling water so it just covers the garlic and sit on the bucket. The steam will help heal the issue but not in all cases. don't knock it until you tried it. Always consult doctor first regarding diagnosis then try different,

hi I am new here looking for a few answers I also had to take the same photo and show it to my doctor. this is not healthy in my opinion. I have severe bleeding but my only saving grace is i have zero pain. he has me on venexxin which is a new over the counter medication to improve hemorrhoids and suppositories hc. I have been using this for about a week now with no improvement. still a full bowl of blood. I have been told that my only other option is surgery and I would prefer to not explore that but again this is not healthy. does anyone have any other suggestions to solve this? I have had the colorectal screening and they say I am cancer free. again any thoughts on this thanks

sorry for the late reply guys, didnt realise i had been asked questions. no its not daily bleeding but flares at least twice a month and then lasts a few days at a time. i stop eating when it does to avoid a BM and allow them to heal. i do hey daily pain after a Bm and find it hard walking. nothing has helped much and my quality of life is really starting to be limited. im only in my 20's but feel like im in my 70's

debating the surgery again but it went so wrong last time i just dont know if its worth risking again

i am only 22. it is frustrating. mine do the same and flare up a few times a month. got one flared up now which is very sore, but this is my first one since before christmas. think mine could be partly hereditary from my mums side. i have had a colonoscopy but they said surgery would not be needed in my case. think i am just going to have to just like with it and when they come treat
