Hi Nicola- I had been taking elleste solo Img for about the same time and reason as you. Following the change of laboratory from Meda to Mylan about a month ago I started to notice some symptoms returning. My breasts shrank and my anxiety levels plus sleeplessness increased. The pharmacist said maybe the formula had changed and recommended switching to Zumenon-( also manufactured by Mylan!) My symptoms have gradually improved but I have also noticed hair thinning now! Not sure whether we have to say thats the price we pay ?

I am not on Elleste, however I also experience dark patches on my neck and wonder if that is from the HRT? Looks like pigmentation , on each side of the neck, not so much directly under the chin. Would be intereting to see if other ladies have the same? Hair loss I think is related to estrogen, a lot of ladies seem to have issues with that. When my estrogen goes down (I am on Pellets) i have hair loss too

I have been on a selection of different HRT treatment since Premique was discontinued. I was put on elleste solo but have been unable to get new supplies of it. I was prescribed premarin and the heart palpations on that were awful. Zumenon gave me nightmares so bad that I fell out of bed and really hurt myself. I had a short time on premarin but my breasts were so tender I came off them. I have experienced terrible hair loss and don't know which one was responsible but I am on Fermiston Conti at present and the hair loss seems to have improved. I have also experienced dark patches but I don't know which one is responsible for that either. I just hope the dose of Fermiston conti is enough to keep the osteoparosis at bay. The good news yesterday is that HRT can be of huge benefit and outweighs the risk of breast cancer whoopee. I think breast cancer is the least of your worries on HRT. Hair loss is experienced with age but I think some HRT is definitely responsible for it. Unlikely if it is recent and you have been on it for a long time without side effects.
