Hairloss with hh

Does anyone else have hairloss with hh? I've noticed lots of my hair coming out. Much more than usual.

I was diagnosed last year and noticed one of the problems I was experiencing was hair loss. However my GP said it was nothing to do with HH and more to do with some tablets I was on for a stomach problem I have. He stopped the tablets and 6 maths on my hair is still falling out so yes I believe it most definitely is related to HH but have no proof to back this up and when your doctor says it’s unrelated where do you turn ?

I went to my GP because of hair loss and he tested my blood for lack of iron. When the results came back I had far too much iron. Meanwhile my GP referred me to a female hair loss specialist and he recommended Minoxidil, which I use twice a day. Then I was diagnosed with haemochromatosis. My haematologist says hair loss has nothing to do wit HH but I know he is wrong. My hair loss stopped after using Minoxidil for 3 months, then I started phlebotomy once a week and using Plantur shampoo and conditioner. Now I have no idea why, but all hair loss has stopped! It was dreadful, but thankfully I have put that behind me, still giving blood though! Good Luck, don't give up!
