Hammer toe

Does anyone have problems with the cut made to straighten hammer toe?
At the same time as my bunion op I had my middle toe operated on to release the tendons and straighten it. I didn't know what would be involved but after I was told that he made an incision on the front part of toe, then made the bone shorter, which released the tendons. Six weeks later it's a bit straighter, but there is a line across the toe where he made an incision. It isn't a scar and it isn't a scab, it's just like a cut where the skin goes inwards like a dimple. It looks horrid, like I had my toe cut off and stuck on again. Does anyone have the same problem, or maybe had it done some time ago, just wondered if it was going to stay like this.
here is a photo. I'd like to compare?

I had six toes done about 4 months ago and mine did look the same as yours..... They are improving but slowly.
With regards to bending movement I have non in these told and my surgeon has explained to me that it'll never return
Rubbing shea butter onto the scar tissue really helps
Good luck with your recovery

It looks like you have scar tissue underneath . When the wound is totally healed, message it vigorously twice a day with bio oil and it will break down the scar tissue and the cut will look much better.
I am 10 weeks post up and my scar on my tight foot looked like yours , but now it hardly shows and the dimply look has gone.
You have to do it every day and really message the area hard and you will see a big difference in just a few weeks.
Good luck.
