Hi, the only thing that helped me was to take the 10 day steroid pack to bring down the inflammation. Managing stress is very important as is 11 to 13 hrs nightly sleep for daily pain and stress management. I take plaquinil for the RA which takes a little while to kick in and saturate blood cells, but for me is very effective without side effects (unlike methotrexate and biologics, which lowers the immune system, and caused pain, and secondary conditions, and secondary infections (also fibromyalga). Also critical is a prescribed anti inflammatory, and a balance of D3 (2000 mg), 1250mg calcium carbonate and magnesium glycinate (2:1 or 1:1 ratio..what ever helps you manage pain and secondary symptoms best) with a good multi vitamin. If you are working these extremely long 12 hr days, it is extremely hard to manage RA and induced secondary pain and conditions, and actually causes health to degenerate.

Cannabis oil is supposed to be a brilliant non-invasive, non pharmaceutical pain reliever. I gather it's now legal for medical purposes in the UK.

I think you can get where it cuts the psychotropic effects, too, if you don't want to get high.
