Hang In There!!

I just wanted everyone new to this group to know things will get so much better . I promised myself that once I felt better I would get back on here to continue to help others going through the begining stages of this medication. The side effects the way you feel is horrible right now... but once the meds begin to work ( it took months and months for me) you will feel amazingly better. I just want anyone who is struggling to know you can inbox me at any time if you need someone to talk to! YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS AND YOU WILL GET BETTER!

Thank you Shauna, so good to hear. My daughter has been on sert for almost 10 weeks. She is doing better but still has days when she's really down, and still struggling with motivation and also insomnia. It's like a roller coaster with the up days and down days. She has been slowly increasing in dose and was just increased to 150. Really hoping things level out soon for her. May I ask how long it did take you?

I love these post...so inspiring. Im on 15 weeks, though im not fully 100% yet...more like 95%....i feel myself slowly progressing. if you dont mind me asking, what dose are you on? how long for each dose? and how long into your treatment can you say you felt 100%? Thank you for this post.

Right now I'm down to 25mg I was at 75mg but I felt weird on it so slowly went down to 50mg stayed on 50 for a long time and felt great, my sleep just wasnt too good so I lowered to 25mg I hope to eventually get off. I have found that upping dosage is not better in my case it caused more anxiety I just personally needed to be on the meds for a long time for my body to get used to them.

Oops, meant to send this to Sophie, accidentally sent to Shauna.
My daughter is going through this too...you definitely have good weeks/bad weeks and good days/bad days but it's my understanding that it does eventually level out, it just takes time. Just keep telling yourself it's going to get better. Much love and strength to you.

Thank you so much for the support, I'm actually getting on Zoloft/ Setreline for the 3rd time and evey time my relapse is horrible. anxiety/panic followed by depression because I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. you think by now 9 be a pro, but the anxiety won't allow me to think reasonably. I'm 7 weeks 37.5mg feeling little better but not 100% and continue to question if it will work. I guess I was just hoping for encouraging words.
thanks
