Happy Christmas Folks.

We are off tomorrow to stay with family in Northumberland for Christmas.

My Sister suggested we go tomorrow instead of wednesday, in case we have weather problems getting there. (Just hope we are not driving each other up the wall by christmas day).!!!

So, I just wanted to say Happy Christmas to you all, and all the best for the New Year.

Since we did WHERE IS EVERYONE , in November and we all said where we were from, I feel that I really know you all. Betty I hope you are managing o'k.

Take care all of you, I'll get back to you on the 27th.

Brenda.

A very happy Christmas from me, too.

Yes, Brenda, we are managing fine, thank you. I think my Guardian Angel must need a rest by now, though. Having been stuck for three weeks without leaving home ( I don't get cabin fever so no need for sympathy ) we were able to get to the market on Thursday and now have supplies enough for the rest of the year. Came home feeling tired but with great sense of achievement.

Then yesterday saw someone wandering round outside. It was the dear soul who had driven up our half mile track to deliver much needed oil. He then had to back all the way down as the huge vehicle cannot turn here. So we shall not starve and we can keep warm.

Should have blood tests on Wed. but don't intend risking life and limb

Safe journey to any who are travelling.

Brenda...a very Happy Christmas and hope you got there safely.

Betty....I think this bad weather is bringing out the best in some people. I was attempting to bring my daughter to her riding lesson yesterday and got stuck on an icy patch on a very bad bend

I could neither get going forwards or backwards and was about to phone the stables to tow me with a tractor when a lovely man in a jeep came to my aid and got me moving. He was a total stranger to me and I'm sure he had other things to be doing, but if he did he wasn't rushing to get away and made sure we were OK. smile

Lesson learnt though....I am not driving in those conditions again unless its an emergency.

    Cheers , Pauline
