Happy International Women's Day

Greetings fellow fibroid sufferers,

Perhaps a bit off-topic for this forum, but in the midst of all our pain, uncertainty and suffering, I thought today is a good day to share some love, and remind ourselves that, even though we may be going through hell, we are women and we are a force to be reckoned with! There are days when I honestly wish I had been born without a female reproductive system as it has brought me so much misery - but then I remind myself of the bigger picture. The fact that we have made great strides in healthcare and reproductive rights and that we have contributed to these changes as a collective, by refusing to put up and shut up. There is so much more work to be done, and we will continue to do so, but today, wherever you are on your journey, I invite you to pause and stand with me, celebrate yourself and the fact that you are a woman. I am so grateful for this forum, for the fact that women I do not even know are willing to share their stories and reach out to a fellow sufferer with comfort, empathy and advice.

Love yourself today, sisters. Together we are stronger than we think. And whatever decisions we make, and whatever paths we choose to get there - here's to a sexy, healthy and fibroid-free future for all of us!
