Hard lump under chin

Hello, i have a lump under my chin on the right side. It feels like a bone and doesn't budge. I first noticed it a couple weeks ago and it was fairly large. It hurt when I touched it. After about a week or so it slowly went away but not fully. Now it's starting to grow and hurt to the touch again. What is it?

Well it could be one of your lymph glands. Does it feel hard and rubbery? or it could be a salivary gland which has become blocked. Does it hurt when you eat?

The only way to find out is to see your doctor who will be able to see and feel the lump and probably make a diagnosis immediately.Have you felt ill or just under the weather recently? If its your lymph node it may just be fighting off an infection. I think you should see your GP anyway just to make sure its nothing to worry about, and definitely go to the Gp if you find any more lumps or start to feel unwell,or this lump becomes much bigger.
