Hard mucus

Hi all,

Ive been dealing with this issue for a couple of years now. Every couple of days I feel like something is stuck in the back of my nose/throat area. It is always super difficult to get out, and when I do it's a yellow brown thick hard mucus blob (i will try to include a photo if it allows; sorry if its gross). I have gone to an ENT doctor 2 years ago with no luck. Had a cat scan done of my sinuses and they looked clear. Doctor told me that some people just create more mucus. Not sure what to do because it seems to be happening more often. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
