Hardcore Antibiotics for Diverticulitis make you more sesepitble to Cornavirus serious symptoms?

I've had IV and oral very hardcore Antibiotics for Diverticulitis over the last 2 years, and I'm wondering with the recent Coronavirus outbreak, would the AB's still be deprecating my immune system?

I am in my mid 30's in the US, non-smoker, no current medical issues but I am concerned about if I get this COVID-19 if I am at higher risk because of how Antibiotics wipe out the good and bad stomach flora?

Any insight to this appreciated, I may call the local hospital as well.

Do you k ow hoe many people die from flu each year? This virus is as contagious as the common cold but no worse than a bad flu. We need to be sensible.

I respect your post; however, thousands around the world die from the flu, and we don't hear anything about it.

Antibiotics kill bad and good bacteria, so u must take a probiotic at the same time to replenish the good bacteria. Also, as I posted earlier my GI doctor said that the Corona scare is the biggest social media hoax in history and that it's no worse than a case of the flu.

    Hello Rommon,

I can certainly understand why your concerned. I think we as individuals need to trust our own instincts in these matters.

My understanding from what I have read is that the reason it is more concerning is because people can be carrying it for awhile before you have symptoms so their possibly spreading it before even being aware their a carrier. Other flu's have been more quickly contained because they were isolated quicker.

I seems responsible to me to limit your contact with the public when you feel your at risk.

Take care of yourself and listen to your gut.

    Rhonda
