I just had a plate and 5 screws removed February 1st on my ankle. They had to leave a pin in due to the location of it. If removed could cause severe nerve damage. I can still feel the pin in my ankle. Doesn’t cause a lot of pain but can be uncomfortable. I’m wondering if in time will this sensation go away? Also if anyone else has had this how was your long term affect? Thanks!!

Hi.
I have 2 plates with screws and 2 long screws inner ankle bone. I can feel the 2 long screws digging in quite often and they can't be removed. I've had them in for nearly 3 years. The pain hasn't eased at all in that area when it flares up. Sometimes they dig in even when I'm seated.
